Formerly the Royal Garden Riverside Hotel, the name resort better describes this luxuriously sprawling complex. On the banks of the Chao Phraya across the river and a few miles downstream from the heart of Bangkok, the resort is best reached via long-tail boat. It’s a short trip down river, as you feel the crazy city release you from its grip. Once at the resort, the big city seems a distant memory.
